Five Rocks Beach Clean Up 2016

Five Rocks and the Corio Bay area is one of the most beautiful local areas and as such is pretty important to a lot of people. The Corio Bay/Shoalwater area is also a Ramsar site which means it is a crucial stop off and rest point for migratory shorebirds that can come from as far away as Siberia in the Northern hemisphere.

Farewell Peter

At our AGM on Friday, 2 December 2016 Peter Baggett stepped down from the CC Committee. He came on board in 2005 when we we’re formerly Fitzroy River and Coastal Catchments. For most of his time on the Committee he was Secretary. In recognition for his commitment to Capricornia Catchments and our appreciation by all, Peter was presented with a farewell gift, a framed property map of Clearview, the family property where his father lived and where Peter calls this home.
