Each year Capricornia Catchments Inc. recognizes the dedication of local landholders towards achieving best environmental practice. Twelve projects were shortlisted from the 36 projects approved during the 2015/16 financial year in each of the following categories:
• Fitzroy Catchment – Grazing
• Coastal Catchments – Grazing
• Grains – Cropping
• Wetlands – Grazing
Projects were assessed against the criteria below:
• Property Planning (is the project part of whole of property plan/redevelopment)
• Partnership and “Champion” Factor, promotion of CC ideals
• Outcomes (overall environmental/Natural Resource Management outcome)
• In-kind contribution

For this category there was only one nominee, “Calmorin Road”, Barry and Nichole Price
Wetlands – Grazing

The winner was “Wyluna”, Stewart Dunlop and Alison Jones
